This personal project was created as part of the Children’s Book Module at Pencil Art School, following the guidelines of the Lucca Junior 2023 illustration competition. The challenge was to develop a complete storyboard for the book and create two final double-page illustrations in color, based on the story Celeste e la gemella blu, written by Angelo Mozzillo.

The story explores themes of imagination, friendship, and change through Celeste, a young girl who discovers her reflection in a bucket and believes she has found a blue twin. I approached the illustrations with a soft and dreamy color palette, emphasizing the magical and intimate atmosphere of childhood discoveries.

This project allowed me to experiment with storytelling through composition and visual rhythm, bringing warmth and emotion to Celeste’s journey.
