For six months I attended the Entry Level course at Ars in Fabula (Macerata, Italy), an experience that not only taught me about editorial illustration but also helped me grow on a personal level.
The final project was to illustrate a complete book, and I chose to reinterpret the classic fable The Fox and the Stork.

What first seemed like a very simple story became the perfect space to explore. Through questions, sketches, and storyboards, I built my own world for the characters: their personalities, their environment, and even a small subplot not present in the original text.

I worked with gouache and digital techniques, looking for a palette that felt like me and an atmosphere that mixed magic with everyday life. My goal was not to make the “perfect” version of the fable, but my version, with my interests, emotions, and thoughts reflected in each spread.

In this gallery you can see some of the final illustrations, and part of the storyboard.
